Between 15 - 25th April 2019, Extinction Rebellion staged protests in key areas around Central London  causing major road closures and disruption to the city.

Extinction Rebellion claims the government is guilty of "criminal inactivity" in addressing the climate change "crisis".

The group says that under the current system the UK is "headed for disaster", with climate change due to cause food shortages and "destroy communities".
